Support the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation's quest for a cure for breast cancer as well as local breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs at the Komen Northern Nevada Race for the Cure®. Since its inception, the event has raised more than $870,000 for local breast cancer programs. This year, with your support, the Komen Northern Nevada Affiliate will top the $1 million mark for breast cancer program grants awarded in our area!
Race for the Cure® is the largest series of 5K runs in the United States, and the Komen Foundation is one of the largest funders of breast cancer research worldwide. The Race includes a sanctioned 5K walk-run as well as free entertainment, breast cancer information and product samples from many local and national companies. Online registration is available through Wednesday, Sept. 27, and race day registration is available on Sunday, Oct. 1 at a slightly higher registration fee. Register today at www.northnvkomen.org.
