With most of today's medical procedures now taking place in outpatient settings, Northern Nevada Medical Center is planning to care for more Sparks and Reno residents' diagnostic imaging and laboratory needs with newly branded Northern Nevada Imaging and Lab facilities.

"Northern Nevada Imaging and Lab is the new name for our outpatient imaging and laboratory centers," said Brandt C. Wright, Northern Nevada Medical Center CEO. "We recently acquired the laboratory services previously provided on our campus by Quest Diagnostics and seized the opportunity to pair lab services with our current diagnostic imaging locations to create one-stop service for our customers' outpatient needs."

Northern Nevada Imaging and Lab locations, in addition to the hospital itself, include:

  • Sparks Medical Building
    Suite 201, 2385 E. Prater Way, Sparks
(connected to Northern Nevada Medical Center) -- 356-4962
  • Vista Medical Terrace
    Suite 115, 2345 E. Prater Way, Sparks
(up the hill from Northern Nevada Medical Center) -- 356-1212
  • South Reno
    25 McCabe Drive, Reno
(near Manogue High School) -- 852-5444 or 851-4530

Northern Nevada Imaging and Lab centers offer a comprehensive array of current laboratory screenings. Diagnostic imaging capabilities include: X-ray, CT scan, ultrasound, MRI, mammography, osteoporosis DEXA, nuclear medicine, cardiovascular imaging lab and Bio-Z blood pressure screening. Digital transmission of all images and laboratory results is available to physicians through the hospital's secure electronic medical systems.

"We feel anything we can do to ease the minds of patients about their lab and diagnostic tests is to the benefit of the community. We try to make their experiences more convenient with close-in surface parking, and our staff is attuned to help with any questions patients may have," said Wright.
