In recognition of Mother's Day and National Osteoporosis Awareness Month, Northern Nevada Medical Center is giving a pink calculator as a special gift to every woman who has a mammogram or bone density scan during May. In addition, the Diagnostic Breast Care Center is offering a screening mammography rate of $90 (regularly $145).* To schedule a mammogram, please call 356-5800; for a bone density appointment, please call 356-1212. For information on a program providing mammograms for qualified uninsured and underinsured women, please call 1-888-463-8942 and ask for the Women's Health Connection. *Special rate includes all mammography and reading fees and is for procedures self-paid at the time of service.
